Commuting in Delhi
Metro is the coolest thing to have happened to New Delhi. Commuting across the Capital is real easy with the spank new Metro connecting all the major places.
It is basically divided into three lines - Red, Yellow, Blue. Unlike Chennai where the MRTS still remains completed only in the dream of ppl here, Government has put in real effort to make Metro a success. Its so accessible. Travelling to Karol Bagh for shopping had never been this easy earlier.
Jus a small sample - We had to go to Pathankot for my cousin's wedding. My granny stays in Pitampura, Outer Ringroad. We took the Metro from Pitampura, got down in ISBT. From there we descended to the underground Metro and took another train to Old Delhi Station. We alighted the train and walked thru the tunnel way and bingo, we were right outside the Old Delhi Station. All this effort took us not a min more than 25 mins.
